Summary

Without idealizing reality, the Author highlights several events in the history of the Institute of the FMA which are signed by the practice of foreseeing love. This article shows how historical changes and the spread of new educational needs called for the Religious to rethink some of their apostolic works and ways of carrying them out. The result is a greater awareness of their Salesian identity which gradually suggested to the FMA educational choices marked by audacity, farsightedness, and at times by the need to conserve some customs in the name of unity and fidelity.

L’Autrice, senza idealizzare la realtà, mette in evidenza alcuni aspetti della storia dell’Istituto delle FMA segnati dalla pratica dell’amore preveniente. La relazione riferisce come i cambiamenti storici, la diffusione di nuove esigenze educative, abbiano richiesto alle religiose il ripensamento di alcune opere e modalità di attuazione. Risalta la consapevolezza dell’identità salesiana che volta per volta ha suggerito alle FMA le scelte educative connotate da audacia, lungimiranza o, talora, dalla conservazione di alcune consuetudini nel nome dell’unità e della fedeltà.
